Mindfulness-in-Nature Retreat in Dartmoor
Two Days & Two Nights - September 9th to 11th
Fri 3 pm to Sun 1 pm
After a beautiful two-day / two-night Mindfulness retreat in this eco campsite in the heart of the stunning Dartmoor National Park in September I look forward to running similar events again. Watch this space.
Mindfulness in Nature Retreat
Being outdoors in nature naturally helps us to clear our minds, free our hearts, and tune in to sensations in our heart-body-mind. It is a joy to practice Mindfulness together under the sky, with the sun and wind on your skin, the smells of wild flowers and warm earth, the sounds of the leaves rustling and birds calling. When we meditate outside we are called out of our thinking self and in to the world of the sensate being, which lives only in the present.
Aubrey will introduce Mindfulness practices with a focus on connecting and opening up to nature, including Mindfulness of the vast spaciousness of the sky, of interconnectedness with life (trees breathe out what sustains us, and vice versa), of the earth, water, fire, and air elements.
You will learn practices to nourish the heart in nature, even in the face of the grief that may arise when we connect deeply to nature in our ecological crisis.
Learn Simple Life-Changing Mindfulness Techniques Under the Dartmoor Sky
You will learn simple techniques to take back home. The Mindfulness techniques in this workshop are designed to be ready-to-use in your daily life. Building Mindfulness into your daily routine is an excellent way to develop a Mindfulness habit and so bring more presence to deeply experience your life and have more capacity and space for yourself and those you love.
The schedule will include morning and evening talks by Aubrey, meditation and mindfulness practice in various forms (sitting, walking, standing, lying under the sky), early morning and late evening meditations under the sky around a fire, and early morning / late evening gentle mindful movement (Qi Gong). All activities are optional and scheduled to create a feeling of spaciousness, freedom, and openness in the days.
Enjoy community and connection to nature with like-minded fellow campers!

"[the course] was beautifully held and the teachings offered skilfully and personally. Thank you Aubrey."
"Aubrey's teaching style was gentle and friendly but also highly perceptive.
The class was great fun to be a part of, although it felt there was real depth too. I'd certainly like to take another course with Aubrey. I found the practical teaching and techniques offered to be helpful and accessible yet also profound.
The course was lightly held yet really insightful. "
